Scope
A bookcase that follows a pier, a bench that fits a bay, a table sized for the room rather than for a catalogue.
I draw the piece, choose the materials, follow the making in the workshop and the installation on site.
The workshops are French, selected by craft: cabinetmaking, metal, upholstery, stonework.
Each piece is prototyped where the budget allows. You approve before production.
This work stands alone or complements a fit-out.
How it unfolds
Survey and intent
Measurements on site, intended use, constraints of the room. A piece drawn for one place starts with that place.
Drawing and samples
Sketches, workshop drawings, material and finish samples. You sign off on things you can hold in your hand.
Choosing the workshop
Cabinetmakers, metalworkers, upholsterers: I consult the French workshops suited to the piece and compare quotes against the same drawing.
Making
Production follow-up and workshop visits at the stages that matter. A deviation is corrected during making, rarely after.
Delivery and installation
Transport, installation and final adjustments on site. The piece is signed off in the room it was drawn for.
